VOV.VN - Hanoi has begun a project that aims to clean a section of the To Lich river through the use of Japanese technology.
A ceremony was held on May 16 to mark the installation of the Nano Bioreactor system in a polluted section of the To Lich river with the support of Japanese experts. |
A section of the To Lich river is located near Hoang Quoc Viet street in Cau Giay district and has been chosen for installation. It is considered to be the most polluted part of the river. |

It is hoped that Nano Bioreactor technology will help stimulate microorganisms in the river’s soil. This will involve promoting useful microorganisms and reducing harmful microorganisms that cause pollution in the water. |
This new form of technology has been used with success to clean canals throughout Japan. The technology had also previously been used in Vietnam when it cleaned a river in Hai Phong city and a lake in Quang Ninh province in 2017 |
