Ha Tinh resembles ship wreck site after Typhoon Doksuri

VOV.VN - Waterfront areas in the central Vietnam province of Ha Tinh resemble an outdoor ship wreck museum, reports Vnexpress.

Dozens of boats in the town of Ky An in the province are cast onto land, docks and trees by Typhoon Doksuri, which hit September 15.

It destroys marina and port facilities in the town of Ky An along with the boats.

The typhoon destroys more than 220 boats, such as the one above, according to estimates of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.

The owner of this boat says he still owes the bank US$22,400 and will now need to borrow more to repair it.

Due to fierce winds of Typhoon Doksuri all the machinery, equipment and furnishings on this boat have been swept away.

The owner of this boat estimates it will cost up to US$9,600 to repair it.
