Guinness World Records recognizes oldest living woman
(VOV) - Nguyen Thi Tru, a 122 year old-a resident (Da Phuoc commune, Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City), is the oldest living woman of record in the world, announced the Guinness World Records.
Tru had 11 sons and daughters, two of which are still alive and are over 80 years old.
The recognition was made after the Vietnam Record Organization filed a nomination in June 2014.
In 2014, Tru was previously recognized as the oldest living woman in Vietnam and Asia by both the Vietnam Record Organization, as well as the Asian Record Organization.
A Representative of the Guinness World Records is slated to arrive in Vietnam to grant certificate of recognition to Nguyen Thi Tru.
