Gia Lai searches for martyrs’ remains in Cambodia
VOV.VN - The Military Command of Central HIghlands’ province of Gia Lai on October 18 launched a search for remains of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts who laid down their lives during the past war in Cambodia.
At the ceremony, head of the team, senior lieutenant-colonel Nguyen Xuan Toan, said the mission shows deep gratitude to the great sacrifice of fallen soldiers and experts in Cambodia. Despite a number of difficulties, the team is determined to fulfil its duty.
Since its establishment in 2001, the team has collected and repatriated 1,374 remains of fallen soldiers and experts from Cambodia.
