Gang caught attempting to smuggle drugs haul from Cambodia

According to initial reports, police forces discovered a newly-established drug trafficking ring that has been operating since the middle of July. They therefore arrested three suspects, including 35-year-old Bui Thi Kieu Loan, 36-year-old Nguyen Hoang Tu, and 43-year-old Pham Dinh Nhan.

Upon conducting a search of their apartments, police were able to seize 50kg of drugs, including 30kg of methamphetamine, 9.2kg of ketamine, 20,000 ecstasy pills, and 5.27kg of heroin.

All of the drugs were stashed away in boxes of fruit.

Once under questioning at the police station, each of the gang members confessed to transporting the drugs into the country from Cambodia for the purpose of selling them for profit.  

A further investigation is currently underway.
