Fundraising walk for the underprivileged surpasses goal

The “Million Steps of Kindness – Continuing the Golden History” campaign has reached a remarkable milestone, achieving 50% of its target in just 60 days, the Vietnam Red Cross Society announced.

With widespread contributions from organisations and individuals nationwide, the total funds converted from walking and running activities via the vRace app have surpassed VND2.6 billion (nearly US$103,000), equivalent to over 2.6 million kilometers.

Running from November 23, 2024 to April 28, 2025, the campaign aims to mobilise 200,000 participants to collectively cover 5 million kilometers and raise VND5 billion (nearly US$198,000) to support the needy nationwide.

Beyond promoting physical activity, the initiative encourages participants to share stories of Vietnam’s proud history, fostering compassion and patriotism. Participants are invited to use hashtags like #khatvonghoabinh, #Daithangmuaxuan1975, #Vietnamhungcuong, and #trieubuocchannhanai to amplify their messages on social media.

Participants can register via the website or vRace app, track their progress, and contribute a minimum of 100 kilometers to amplify the spirit of kindness.
