Frigate 015-Tran Hung Dao embarks on goodwill visit to China
VOV.VN - Frigate 015-Tran Hung Dao of Brigade 162, Naval Region 4 Command of the Vietnam People’s Navy, docked at a port of Qingdao City, Shandong province, China, on December 1, marking the first stop on the ship’s goodwill visit to China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea.
A welcoming ceremony for frigate 015 and the Vietnamese People’s Navy delegation was solemnly held at Qingdao Port, chaired by representative of the People's Liberation Army's Navy North Sea Fleet.
During the visit to China, officers and soldiers abroad frigate 015 will pay courtesy calls on the leaders of the North Sea Fleet and the authorities of Qingdao City, take part in several exchange activities with the Chinese Navy, and conduct joint drills at sea with Chinese naval vessels.
These activities aim to further strengthen cooperation, enhance mutual understanding and trust between the two navies in particular, and between the armed forces of Vietnam and China in general.
The ship’s journey from Cam Ranh Military Port in Khanh Hoa to Qingdao Port was completed despite challenging weather conditions, including strong winds and rough seas. The crew of Frigate 015 adhered to strict discipline and ensured the ship’s technical equipment operated flawlessly, successfully completing the voyage safely and on time.
