French Navy frigate ‘Vendemiaire’ calls in Danang
(VOV) - The French Navy surveillance frigate ‘Vendemiaire’ led by Commander Danien Lopez on November 4 docked at the Danang Harbour to begin a six-day port of call to Vietnam.
During the stay, representatives from the French navy frigate Le Vendemiaire will pay a courtesy visit to leaders of the Municipal People’s Committee, Danang’s Military Command, and the Naval Region III Command.

In addition, officers and crew members will organize a training course with the Vietnam People’s Navy to share experiences in state management at sea, visit some historic relics in Danang, Hoi An, Quang Nam and Hue and play volleyball with soldiers in the Naval Region III Command.
The visit falls under a 2015 defence cooperation agreement between Vietnam and France, aiming to strengthen defence ties and strategic partnership between the two countries.
