Free flights arranged to help poor workers return home for Tet
VOV.VN - As many as 450 Vietnamese workers enduring difficult circumstances and their families will be offered free flights to bring them home to celebrate the coming Lunar New year 2025 holiday (Tet).
According to Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, on January 25, two free flights under the Union Flight – Spring programme will depart from Ho Chi Minh City to the central city of Vinh and to Hanoi.
Before departure, the trade union will also meet with the workers to present Tet gifts and send them best wishes.
Earlier, the Union Train - Spring 2025 programme wasalso launched on January 21 at Bien Hoa Station in southern Dong Nai province, with the aim of bringing a total of 1,750 union members and their families home to enjoy the festive season.
Vietnamese state workers will have nine days off to celebrate the Tet holiday, the largest of its kind in a year, from January 25 to February 2.
