Free buses ride 3,000 students home for Tet

VOV.VN - A large number of students gathered at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Culture House in District 1 to get home for the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) on a free bus ride.

Since 2002, around 47,100 students with financial difficulties have returned home for Tet on these free buses. The Spring Bus program is considered a good message, a wish and a gift to students on the occasion of Tet.

Hoang Nhu Ngoc, a third-year student at HCM City University of Science, says she is very happy to get a free bus ride home for Tet.

Many of their parents also receive free bus tickets to come home together with their children.

The spring buses have helped many underprivileged students reunite with their families on Tet.

Most of students taken free buses come from northern and central provinces.

All of them are excited to return home for Tet and spend their holidays with their relatives.
