Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son hoped that FPT Corporation, a Vietnamese information technology company, and French enterprises will sign cooperation agreements, especially in information and technology service supply.
He made the statement during a conference held by FPT Corporation, French IE-Club company and La Poste Group in Paris on April 26. The event was attended by nearly 130 directors of French groups and start-ups.
Lauding the Vietnamese company for opening a branch in France, Son said that FPT’s presence in the European nation will enhance cooperation between the two countries.
The Vietnamese Government hopes to train one million programmers each year to catch up with the 4th industrial revolution, he said, adding that technology is among six key spheres that Vietnam wants to collaborate with France.
FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh affirmed that his company wants to join hands with French enterprises to promote the 4th industrial revolution.
FPT has worked with large technology partners like IBM, Microsoft, GE Digital, Siemen and AWS in human resource training to meet demands of the revolution.
The firm’s three cooperative models with French partners were introduced at the event, including software outsourcing service, a plant applying digital conversion services and product research and development for the Vietnamese market.
For his part, President of La Poste Group Philippe Wahl stressed that cooperation with Vietnam is significant in the group’s development in Asia.
Vietnam has seen stellar development in technology while FPT is a key pioneer, he added.
