FPT partners with Japan’s Tokushukai on healthcare digital transformation
VOV.VN - FPT, Vietnam’s leading technology group, and Tokushukai Medical Group, Japan’s largest private healthcare group, have announced a partnership to promote digital transformation in healthcare and medical services, representing a concrete step toward implementing broader Vietnam-Japan cooperation following the recent visit to Vietnam by Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
Under the agreement, FPT and its affiliated companies will be allowed to use the Tokushukai brand in healthcare activities in Vietnam. The two sides will also cooperate in developing and deploying advanced information technology solutions in hospital systems in Vietnam and Japan.
The partnership between the technology and healthcare groups is expected to make valuable contributions to the healthcare sector, particularly as technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, the Internet of Things and cloud computing are developing rapidly.
Tokushukai Medical Group Chairman Higashiue Shinichi said, “We are honored to cooperate with FPT, one of Vietnam’s leading technology groups. Through this partnership, we hope to create new value together and apply advanced technologies and techniques, thereby creating more opportunities for growth and moving toward a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership.”
Tokushukai hopes to contribute to improving the quality of healthcare services and bringing better medical services to people in Vietnam, he added.
Meanwhile, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh said the company has, since its establishment, developed technology with people at its core and believes technology should serve human well-being, with health being the most important foundation.
“We want to apply technology, especially AI, to provide better healthcare for each individual. Together with Tokushukai Medical Group, we will work toward creating long-term sustainable value,” Truong Gia Binh went on.
FPT Vice Chairman Bui Quang Ngoc said the combination of FPT’s strengths in technology, data and implementation experience and Tokushukai’s capabilities in operating large-scale healthcare systems could help the two sides develop high-value digital solutions not only for Vietnam, but also for Japan and the wider region.
As one of Vietnam’s leading technology groups, FPT has carried out digital transformation and AI transformation initiatives for organizations and businesses across multiple sectors worldwide, including healthcare. The company aims to build a comprehensive digital healthcare ecosystem providing fast and convenient services for regulatory agencies, medical facilities, pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies and the public.
After 20 years of supporting the healthcare sector, FPT’s digital healthcare ecosystem is now operating at more than 300 hospitals and medical facilities nationwide. The company is also a strategic partner of leading healthcare groups such as GE HealthCare and BAYADA, operating extensively in the United States, Japan and Europe.
Founded in 1973, Tokushukai Medical Group is Japan’s largest private healthcare group. The group currently operates around 92 hospitals and hundreds of medical facilities across Japan, providing comprehensive healthcare services ranging from treatment and rehabilitation to nursing care, and cooperates internationally with universities and hospitals in medical training.
