FPT Israel established to boost cooperation and master core technologies
VOV.VN - Vietnamese leading technology group FPT Corporation has officially launched FPT Israel, aiming to create an innovation and technology hub and deepen technological cooperation between Vietnam and Israel.
The move marks a strategic step in FPT’s global expansion, positioning the group in Israel as one of the world’s foremost centres for high technology and innovation, renowned for its strengths in core technologies
Israel has strong capabilities in core technologies such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, semiconductors and quantum technologies, which align closely with Vietnam’s strategic technology development priorities and FPT’s long-term vision.
According to FPT, FPT Israel will focus on fostering cooperation, technology exchange and the development of research and development (R&D) activities, while keeping pace with global technology trends to serve international clients. Priority areas include nationally strategic technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, semiconductors and emerging technologies.
Speaking at the launch event on January 13, Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, highlighted the similarities in the development paths of Vietnam and Israel, particularly their shared aspiration for growth and strong belief in education and technology as key drivers of national advancement.
The establishment of FPT Israel will enable us to learn from Israel’s innovation spirit, access advanced education and technology, expand international cooperation, and gradually master core technologies, Binh said.
Nguyen Khac Lich, Director of the Information Technology Industry Department under the Ministry of Science and Technology, noted that the “Make in Vietnam” initiative for the 2026–2030 period underscores the principle of designing and manufacturing in Vietnam with the goal of leadership.
He stressed that strong technology enterprises capable of mastering core platforms are essential for sustainable growth in the digital era, and described FPT Israel as a meaningful step toward higher-value technological development.
The Ministry of Science and Technology encourages FPT Israel to place innovation at the centre of its activities, promote R&D cooperation, expand markets based on quality and credibility, and comply with international standards and technology ethics, thereby contributing technological value back to Vietnam, he said.
Yaron Mayer, Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam, said the establishment of FPT Israel reflects the strong entrepreneurial spirit and global ambitions of Vietnamese enterprises. It underscores Israel’s openness to cooperation with partners from Vietnam who share a commitment to innovation and long-term value creation.
During the event, FPT introduced Israeli technology partners in Israel as part of efforts to expand a high-tech solutions ecosystem across sectors including education, high-tech agriculture, cybersecurity, quantum technologies and semiconductors. These include education (Enabley), high-tech agriculture (CropX), cybersecurity (Cyabra and CyberproAI), quantum encryption (BATM Advanced Communications Ltd), quantum computing (Classiq), semiconductors (AsicSValue), and business expansion (NAOR Group).
FPT currently operates in more than 30 countries and territories worldwide, steadily reinforcing the presence of Vietnamese technology enterprises on the global technology map.
