Four Vietnamese universities enter Young University Rankings 2023

VOV.VN - A total of four Vietnamese universities have entered the Times Higher Education’s Young University Rankings 2023, which lists the world’s best universities that are 50 years old or younger.

The rankings released on July 3 shows that Duy Tan University and Ton Duc Thang University ranked in the 101st to 150th group, while the Vietnam National University (VNU) Hanoi was placed in the 351st to 400th group. Elsewhere, the VNU HCM City was positioned in the 501st+ group.

This represents the fourth year that the country has appeared in the Young University Rankings and the second year that the country has had four representatives named among the list.

This year sees Nanyang Technological University of Singapore top the league table once again after dropping to second place last year.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology moved up to the second spot, while last year’s front-runner Paris Sciences et Lettres – PSL Research University Paris fell to third place.

Turkey leads as the most-represented nation with a total of 47 institutions, followed closely by India with 45. Elsewhere, Iran surpassed the UK to become the third most-represented nation with 39 institutions featured.

The Times Higher Education’s Young University Rankings 2023 judges universities across all their core missions, including teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook, in order to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available.

The 2023 list includes 605 universities, up from 539 in 2022.
