Four die, one injured in Tam Dao tragic car accident

VOV.VN - Four people were killed and one was injured after a car hit a motorcycle in the northern province of Vinh Phuc, about 60km north of Hanoi capital.

The accident happened at 02.30pm on April 26 at section km21 on National Highway 2B towards Tam Dao resort. A seven-seater car was said to crash into a motorcycle and they both plunged into a 200m-deep ravine.

Four people were found dead at the scene, including three on the car and the motorcycle driver. One person on the car luckily survived the tragic accident.

Leaders of Vinh Phuc province and Tam Dao district rushed to the scene to direct rescue work.

By 05.45pm rescue workers had retrieved the four dead bodies and took the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Hearing the news, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, head of the National Committee for Traffic Safety, asked relevant agencies to immediately investigate the accident and deal with its aftermath.

The Deputy PM also sent condolences to families of the bereaved.
