Four Chinese killed as passenger bus overturns in central Vietnam
VOV.VN - Four Chinese tourists were killed and nine others were injured after a passenger bus turned turtle on Khanh Le pass of Khanh Hoa province, central Vietnam on July 18.
The 29-seater bus was carrying 20 Chinese travelers and two Vietnamese tour guides on board from Da Lat to Nha Trang when the accident happened, according to local police.
Traffic police, rescue workers and medical teams rushed to the scene and took the injured to Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital.
Four Chinese tourists were killed, and nine others were injured on the spot, said the police.
The driver was required to take post-incident drugs and alcohol tests, with test results showing he was not under influence of drugs or alcohol.
The police extracted data from the black box on the passenger car to investigate the cause of the accident. They found that the car was traveling at the allowed speed when the accident happened.
Doctors of Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital said that the hospital has received more than 10 injured passengers and most of them had suffered non life –threatening injuries.
Hearing about the news, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang sent condolences to the families of the deceased, and asked doctors to try their best to treat the injured victims.
