First test run of Cat Linh-Ha Dong urban railway line
VOV.VN - The first test run of the Cat Linh-Ha Dong urban railway line from Cat Linh Station to Yen Nghia Station was successfully completed on August 9.
The project management board said the elevated railway line has been connected to the national power grid to conduct the trial run. |
The Cat Linh-Ha Dong elevated railway line has 12 stops on its more than 13km long route, the first stop is Cat Linh Station and the terminus for the line is Yen Nghia Station. |
The project has 13 trains, each with 4 coaches. The trains have a maximum speed of 80kph, and an average speed of 35kph. |
The train used in the trial run is numbered HN003 04. |
The train runs through Hoang Cau Lake in Dong Da District, Hanoi. |
The Cat Linh-Ha Dong elevated railway project was started in October 10, 2011. It was scheduled to be open to passengers in 2016 but has suffered delays. |
Construction is being finished on the terminals of the railway line. |
