Fire destroys HCM City foam sponge workshop

Fire extinguishers failed to stop the blaze from spreading and the workshop’s flammable materials were rapidly engulfed in flames. Plumes of black smoke were seen billowing from the fire, causing people to flee the area in panic.

After the alarm was raised, more than 100 firefighters and 15types of firefighting apparatus were mobilized to the scene to combat the inferno. The blaze was brought under control on-the-spot.

However, the fire has completely destroyed the 110-square metre workshop along with a lot of property, according to local firefighters.
