Fire burns at least eight canoes and fishing boats docking at Cua Dai port
VOV.VN - A huge fire hit Cua Dai port in Hoi An of the central province of Quang Nam on the morning of October 10, burning at least eight canoes and fishing boats.
The blaze occurred at around 3:30 a.m. on October 10 when a fire broke out from an unknown source before later spreading to canoes and fishing boats anchored at the port and growing bigger.
Following reports of the incident, local authorities sent a total of 30 firemen and two canoes to the scene in order to carry out a rescue.
Preliminary statistics indicate that the fire burned at least eight canoes and fishing boats, damaging numerous properties costing around VND20 billion in the process. Fortunately, no one was killed in the incident.
The blaze was stamped out at 6:30 a.m. on the same day, with the police now working to clarify the cause of the incident.
