Factory wall collapses in central Vietnam, 11 buried in debris

VOV.VN - At least three construction workers were killed and eight others were injured in a wall collapse in central Vietnam on September 15.

The labour accident happened at around 4.30pm at Taiwanese factory Savvy Seafood at Nhon Hoa industrial park in Binh Dinh province, which is under construction for the second phase.

A wall surprisingly collapsed, burying 11 workers underneath, according to Colonel Huynh Bao Nguyen, deputy director of the Binh Dinh Department of Police.

Three construction workers were killed at the scene and eight others were taken to the Binh Dinh General Hospital for emergency treatment, said Nguyen.

Among the injured, a 41-year-old worker was in critical condition, added the police officer.

At 9 pm, relevant forces were cordoning off the site for examination and investigation.
