Exhibition showcasing Dien Bien Phu victory excites crowds in Hanoi

VOV.VN - The Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum opened an exhibition displaying artwork on the historic battle of Dien Bien Phu and the subsequent victory of the Vietnamese forces over the French in Hanoi on May 3.
The exhibition is being held as one of many activities aimed at celebrating the 65th anniversary of the victory during the battle of Dien Bien Phu which took place on May 7, 1954. |
In total, the exhibition is to put on display 39 artworks in a variety of forms, including sculptures, paper paintings, lacquers, and oil paintings. |
The exhibition recounts the battle and the sacrifice made by heroic martyrs under the command of President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap. |
The event has attracted many local people and foreign tourists. |
The images of Vietnamese soldiers are vividly brought to life through the talent of painters such as To Ngoc Van, Tran Dinh Tho, Duong Huong Minh, and Mai Van Hien. |
