Exhibition on luxury watches take place in Ho Chi Minh City

VOV.VN - The Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) Exhibition has made its debut at the iconic Saigon Opera House in Ho Chi Minh City, giving local watch enthusiasts the chance to access 90 watches officially nominated for the upcoming award.

In conjunction with The Hour Glass, Vietnam is the only Southeast Asian country to host the GPHG Exhibition this year.

The grand launch was initially held on October 8, offering visitors the chance to view the world of haute horlogerie and admire some of the finest creations in watchmaking.

Guests can admire all of the nominees selected for 15 watch categories, including Men's, Ladies', Men's & Ladies' Complications, Iconic, Tourbillon, Calendar & Astronomy, Mechanical Exception, Time Only, Chronograph, Sports, Jewellery, Artistic Crafts, Challenge, and Petite Aiguille.

After Ho Chi Minh City, the next GPHG exhibitions will be held in New York, Geneva, and Bucharest.

According to The Hour Glass, each November sees the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève awards ceremony celebrate and unite the watchmaking industry by honouring exceptional horological creations from the year.

The annual GPHG awards ceremony is often seen as the equivalent of the Oscars of the watch industry as it’s often viewed as the essential event of the year for both collectors and enthusiasts alike.
