DU awards Japanese politician honorary doctorate
VOV.VN - Danang University (DU) has awarded US Princeton-educated Seiji Hagiwara an honorary doctorate in humane letters in recognition of his lifelong commitment to peace and friendship through diplomacy.

Hagiwara is a prominent politician, having served in the Japanese House of Representatives in the Diet (National Legislature) and mayor of Okayama for two terms.
“Seiji Hagiwara shows unequivocally that one person can make a huge difference in the world,” said Danang University. “We are privileged to shine a light on this unsung champion of peace.”
“His dedication to peace and friendship among Japan, Vietnam and other nations not only merits our sincere appreciation, but also serves as a source of inspiration for aspiring diplomats and political leaders throughout the globe.”
