Devastating flood ravages central provinces

VOV.VN - Torrential rains persisting from October 14 have devastated the central provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue, causing heavy losses in both human and property.

The heavy downpours that began late afternoon on October 14 have blanketed the whole region in flood as high as 3 meters.

Tens of thousands of houses and thousands of hectares of subsidiary crops are deep under the water.

Many parts of the region are isolated.
