Danang and Hoi An hold celebrations to mark Lord Buddha’s 2563rd birthday
VOV.VN - A lotus-shaped lantern festival along with a street parade were held in the cities of Hoi An and Danang to celebrate the 2563rd anniversary of Lord Buddha’s birth on May 19.

| Meanwhile, Danang’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s chapter held a ceremony to mark Lord Buddha’s 2563rd birthday. |

| Giant vehicles and large floats were paraded through the streets to celebrate the event. |

| A large number of Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns, and followers were in attendance for the parade. |

| The parade began from Pho Da pagoda and ran through the main streets of Danang before stopping at Phap Lam pagoda. |
