Dai-ichi Life Vietnam celebrates 10th anniversary
Life insurer Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has held the ceremony to celebrate its 10th anniversary and gave VND1.2 billion ($54,000) to poor patients in Ho Chi Minh City.

Dai-ichi Life Vietnam now has 200 offices all over the country, serving 1.6 million customers. It has 900 employees and 60,000 agents. Market share grew from 4.4 per cent in 2007 to 10 per cent at the end of 2016.
On the same day, the company received permission from the Ministry of Finance to raise its charter capital to $117 million. Earlier the company raised its charter capital from $25 million to $72 million in 2008, and to $100 million at the beginning of 2016.
“We would like to thank the Ministry of Finance for facilitating the operation of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam and our customers and partners for trusting us. We are committed to serving the people of Vietnam for the long term,” said Takashi Fujii, chairman of Dai-ichi Life International Asia-Pacific and chairman of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam.
Over the past 10 years, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has contributed VND17 billion ($762,000) in many charity programmes including helping poor patients have eye surgery, providing clean drinking water to students and teachers, giving scholarships to poor students, and more.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, the company gave a check of VND1.2 billion ($54,000) to the Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients of Ho Chi Minh City so that they can sponsor eye surgeries for poor patients in 2017-2019.
