Da Nang to host int’l summit on longevity medicine, healthy ageing

VOV.VN - More than 150 delegates, including experts, doctors and researchers from Vietnam and abroad, are expected to attend the Da Nang Longevity Summit & Exhibition 2026, scheduled to take place in the central city on November 13 and 14.

The event is co-hosted by the Da Nang Foreign Investment Network (DNFIN) and Da Nang FantastiCity – Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, with Evo Vietnam High-Tech Sports Company serving as Co-Organiser.

The two-day programme will focus on longevity medicine, healthy ageing and solutions to extend people’s healthy lifespan as Vietnam enters a period of rapid population ageing.

On November 13, experts, doctors, researchers, healthcare technology businesses and investors will discuss the biology of ageing, biomarkers for assessing biological age, metabolic and neurological health, women’s health, and the potential for developing medical tourism linked to healthcare services.

The programme will feature leading biomedical researchers from the National University of Singapore (NUS), together with international experts in Lifestyle Medicine and healthcare innovation.

Under the principle of “Evidence-based practice, not simply a wellness retreat,” the second day will offer curated experiences and direct assessments guided by qualified experts in such fields as Photobiomodulation Therapy and Autonomic Nervous System Balance.

Organisers expect the summit will help create a forum for dialogue among the scientific and medical communities, businesses, and policymakers regarding healthy aging, while also expanding opportunities to develop healthcare products, services, and medical tourism in Da Nang.

According to data from the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the number of international visitors traveling to Vietnam for a combination of tourism and wellness/healthcare services grew by an average of approximately 12% annually between 2017 and 2024.

Capitalising on this trend, Da Nang has been developing a diverse range of tourism services, including products that combine tourism with medical treatment and wellness care.

In recent years, the city has frequently hosted regional and international medical events. They have not only enlivened the local service sector but also fostered opportunities for professional networking and the exchange of medical expertise.
