Da Nang to host international lifesaving championship 2025

VOV.VN - The Da Nang international lifesaving championship 2025 is scheduled to take place in the beach shore area in front of East Sea Park on April 29, expecting to bring together 15 domestic and foreign teams.

The competition will feature 15 teams, including 9 domestic teams such as Da Nang Ocean Man, Sheraton, Premier Village, Swim Vietnam, Fusion Resort, Laguna, Pullman, and the Son Tra Peninsula Management Board itself, alongside 6 international teams from Australia, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Singapore.

All competitors are trained lifeguards from coastal resorts, hotels, or rescue units, who meet the required fitness standards and commit to fair play.

They will compete in different categories, including tube rescue, board rescue, board relay, swimming relay, beach flags, and thúng (small bamboo boats) rescue.

The competition aims to provide a chance for all rescue practitioners in Vietnam and other countries to honour the silent heroes of beach rescue, enhance emergency response skills, and share real-life rescue experiences. It is also expected to promote safe beach tourism culture and reinforce Da Nang as a top summer destination.
