Da Nang to host activities to mark ASEAN’s 50th anniversary
The central city of Da Nang plans to organise a series of activities throughout the year to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (August 8, 1967-2017).

At the same time, Da Nang will launch a contest on the 50th founding anniversary of ASEAN for high school students in September, and an ASEAN tertiary education festival on September 16.
An international conference for young researchers at economic and business universities will be held on November 3.
The activities aim to promote the development process of the ASEAN over the past 50 years, thus raising the public awareness of opportunities that the association can bring to residents of the member countries, as well as challenges that the member states are together dealing with currently.
