Da Nang, Salavan youth enhance cooperation

The Da Nang chapter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) and the Salavan chapter of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union held an exchange and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation for 2024-2029 on July 17.

The MoU aims to improve the effectiveness of communication work targeting young generation of the two localities about the special traditional friendship relations between Vietnam and Laos in general, and Da Nang – Salavan in particular. The two youth unions will also work together to support young people to start businesses and improve the quality of youth volunteer activities.

The two sides will continue their collaboration to organise exchanges to share experiences in youth union affairs and children’s movements, as well as language training for each other's youth activists.

Secretary of HCMCYU’s Da Nang chapter Nguyen Manh Dung said he hopes that through specific activities, the two youth unions will further tighten their solidarity and friendship.

Since 2015, the Da Nang chapter of the HCMCYU has held more than 42 friendship exchanges with the counterpart in Salavan to share experiences in youth movements. Thousands of Lao students and youth who are studying, living and working in the city have received assistance in the reviewed period
