Finding people who came into close contact with positive COVID-19 cases poses a real challenge, with people independently going to healthcare stations in order to have samples taken for quick tests set to greatly help reduce the workload of medical staff.

Thai Kim Anh, a medical staff at a healthcare station in Son Tra district of Da Nang, said cases where people show symptoms of a fever, a cough, or a sore throat, in addition to F1 and F2 contacts, are among high-risk groups that are given priority when it comes to rapid tests.

According to a statement by Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son on August 4, the healthcare sector is quickly cleaning up three hospitals that have imposed lockdown measures in Da Nang until August 7, with the central city’s C Hospital planning to re-open first.

Some positive COVID-19 cases being treated in Da Nang General Hospital will be transferred to Hoa Vang Hospital and Da Nang Hospital for Lung Diseases. Indeed, all patients and medical staff in the city’s general hospital will be tested, with the healthcare facility set to re-open providing that all tests are negative for COVID-19.

Similar plans will also be applied to the Da Nang Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Hospital.
