Da Lat Art Tourism Map launched
VOV.VN - Representatives of the Da Lat City People's Committee and UNESCO in Vietnam attended the launching event of the Da Lat Art Tourism Map on August 29.
The map was designed by artists from the Pho Ben Doi Art Space and Behalf Studio.
Dang Quang Tu, chairman of the People's Committee of Da Lat City, emphasized that the launch of the tourism map is an initiative put forward by the city to increase visitors' access to local art and music activities, as well as promoting the role of culture and creativity in the city’s sustainable development.
The launch of the map aims to introduce unique art destinations, cultural and musical venues, and typical scenic spots of Da Lat, thereby further promoting the sustainable development of the tourism industry.
Nguyen Trung Hien, founder of Pho Ben Doi Art Space, revealed that following the printed and digital graphic version, there will be an interactive version on the Internet which will allow visitors to conveniently gain access via phones and computers.
Hien stressed that the map can serve as a toolkit for visitors to schedule their visits to each cultural and historic site around Da Lat, noting that it is also a souvenir product for visitors to Da Lat.
Jonathan Baker, chief representative of UNESCO in Vietnam, assessed that the Da Lat Art Tourism Map can both identify and classify the city's public creative spaces, as well as tourist destinations around the city.
This initiative will further contribute to shaping the city's cultural and creative ecosystem, becoming a useful tool for visitors, while simultaneously supporting state agencies to better manage heritage and creative spaces, he noted.
