COVID-19: Vietnam records 45 cases, including 6 community infections
VOV.VN - The Ministry of Health (MoH) on April 29 confirmed 45 coronavirus infections, including a family cluster of infections in Ha Nam province.
Four people of a family in Quan Nhan village of Ha Nam province tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus after contacting one of their relatives, a 28-year-old man returning from Japan, who had earlier been confirmed as a COVID-19 case.
One of the infections was the patient’s one-year-old child.
A local of Ho Chi Minh City who came into contact with the patient was also diagnosed with the virus.
Meanwhile, 39 other imported cases were placed in quarantine in Can Tho (17), Long An (2), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (12), Khanh Hoa (1), Nghe An (1),Vinh Phuc (2) and Da Nang (4).
Notably, 12 cases in Ba Ria – Vung Tau were sailors on aboard Dai Duong SEA ship from Indonesia to Vietnam.
Two cases in Vinh Phuc were Indian experts who flew to Vietnam from his home country.
As of April 29 Vietnam has recorded a total of 2,910 coronavirus cases, including 2,516 recoveries.
Of the active cases under treatment in healthcare facilities, 48 have tested negative at least once.
The number of fatalities caused by COVID-19 and related health issues remains at 35.
