COVID-19: Another imported case detected in Kien Giang
VOV.VN - The Ministry of Health confirmed on April 11 that a Vietnamese citizen returning from abroad has been diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The patient, a 27-year-old man of Hai Phong port city, crossed the Ha Tien International Bordergate into Kien Giang province and was immediately quarantined upon his arrival.
He tested positive for the virus on April 10 and was transferred to Ha Tien City Polyclinic for medical observation and treatment.
Earlier on April 10, the MoH announced nine cases returning from abroad through the Ha Tien International Bordergate.
The new case has raised the total number of coronavirus infections to 2,693 since the first case was recorded in January 2020.
Of the total, 2,429 patients have been discharged from hospital after making a full recovery from the disease.
Among the active cases given treatment in health facilities across the country, 81 have tested negative at least once.
The number of deaths caused by COVID-19 and related illnesses remains at 35.
