Conference discusses role of technology and design in fostering sustainability
VOV.VN - Experts discussed the role of advanced technologies and creative design methods in fostering urban and regional sustainability at an international conference titled "Resilience by Technology and Design" in Ho Chi Minh City on July 15.
The event drew the participation of representatives from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and other prestigious institutions from various countries around the world such as Italy, Australia, the Republic of Korea, China, Singapore, and Japan.
The conference offered an ideal venue for domestic and international scholars to transfer expertise in science and technology and introduce solutions to enhance the resilience of communities in a new era of volatility.
Addressing the event, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong, chairman of the UEH, emphasised that as a leading university in Vietnam, the UEH has pursued a multidisciplinary and sustainable strategy, adding that the university has implemented a number of projects and conducted research in order to promote sustainable development goals.
Dr. Phong noted that from creating a sustainable green campus to moving towards a circular economy through research activities, the UEH has exerted multi-dimensional impacts in various spheres of technology and innovation.
The event was also anticipated to enhance collaborations among different researchers around the world to further implement global development solutions.
