Children encouraged to build on success stories for better future

Addressing the seventh national children’s forum in Hanoi on August 8, Ha affirmed that in any circumstances, the Party, State, family and community always give the best to children by realizing education and healthcare policies.

The Party and State wish to continue to listen to children’s dreams and aspirations to better support their growth and development both materially and spiritually, he said.

He praised children for their great efforts to overcome difficulties and reap successes in their learning and life, while promoting Vietnam’s image globally.

The Deputy PM expected that every delegate to the forum would be an ambassador to spread love among peers so that violence has no place in the school. He requested building a safe cyber space for children at present and in future, and establishing a core children’s club to provide timely assistance to needy students.

He also reminded that children-related work is an extremely important field that must be performed regularly, continuously, persistently, and for a long time.

He called on every family, agency and the entire society to take more practical actions to better care for children, especially those living in difficult circumstances, and in remote, border and island areas.

The August 6-8 forum has attracted 188 outstanding delegates representing 25 million children nationwide. Participants discussed how to prevent child abuse and violence; prevent and reduce injuries, drownings and traffic accidents; protect children in the cyber space; respond to climate change, epidemics and natural disasters; and fight child labour.
