Central provinces fully prepared to cope with storm Doksuri

VOV.VN - Central regions have taken drastic measures to cope with storm Doksuri and called on fishing vessels to find shelter immediately, said local officials.

The People’s Committee of Quang Binh Province, where is forecast to be the storm centre, convened an online meeting with the Government on the morning of September 14 to devise measures to minimize any possible losses caused by the storm.

More than 400 fishing vessels working at sea are hurrying to the shore. With the lesson drawn from storm Talas, vessels are not allowed to anchor at the vulnerable area around Hon La port.

Le Ngoc Linh, head of the Fisheries Resources Department in Quang Binh Province said by 6am on September 14, 580 fishing vessels are heading towards the shore. Local forces are helping them anchor safely.
