The park, being built with VND45,000 (US$30,000) donated by Daegu, is the first co-operative project between the two cities this year.
Daegu has also agreed to help build an integrated management centre on green and smart urban management in Da Nang.
A new direct flight connecting Da Nang and Daegu was opened in September. Last year, the city also launched the first green book park in Son Tra district with funds from the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The first reading space, the Green & Brown Bookstore, comprising a library, a bookstore and a coffee shop, was opened on Tran Cao Van street in 2015, and a new municipal library building was launched on Bach Dang street.
Changwon city of the RoK also presented 11,000 Korean language teaching books to the city’s library and foreign language college last month.
Da Nang has offered free open-air libraries at 102 primary schools for all students and local residents.
