Can Tho hosts Mekong Delta’s Francophone Festival

(VOV) -On March 14, the Mekong Delta region’s 18th Francophone Festival transpired in Can Tho city as part of activities marking the 45th International Francophonie Day (March 20).
During the two-day event, seminars on French teaching in the region and French learning opportunities in Vietnam and other Francophone countries are planned.
Ten outstanding students majoring in the French language will be selected for scholarships.
Anissa Barrak, Asia-Pacific Regional Director of the International Organisation of La Francophonie said the Francophone Festival held in Vietnam and many other countries across the globe offers a good opportunity for French-speaking people to deepen mutual understanding and reinforce unity.
