VOV.VN - A ceremony to hand over 200,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses granted by the Cambodian Government and people to the Vietnamese side was held on October 29 at the Bavet-Moc Bai international border gate.

Cambodian Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health Or Vandin expressed hope that the gift would serve to contribute to the fight against the virus led by the Vietnamese Government and people.

The offering therefore highlights the sharing between the two neighbouring countries, along with the due attention of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen towards the health and happiness of people, especially locals residing along the border area shared by the two countries, she noted.

Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan went on to state sincere thanks to the Cambodian side for offering support through the 200,000 vaccine doses to assist Vietnam in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
