Burial service held for Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Cambodia
The Mekong Delta province of Long An on July 21 held a ceremony to rebury the remains of 21 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who died in Cambodia during wartime.
The remains were found in Svat Rieng province of Cambodia in the 2016-2017 dry season by Group K37 of the Long An Military Command.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Can thanked Svay Rieng province’s authorities and people for their cooperation and assistance in repatriating the martyrs’ remains.
He also expressed his gratitude to the volunteer soldiers, who sacrificed their lives to help Cambodia escape from the genocidal regime.
