Binh Duong inaugurates modern wastewater treatment facility
VOV.VN - The Dutch government on July 22 hailed a new state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility in the southern province of Binh Duong as a giant step forward in cleaning up the environment.
“The project is a manifestation of team work between the governments of Vietnam and the Netherlands in collaboration with the private sector in cleaning up the environment,” said Simon van der Burg, Consul General of the Netherlands at the inauguration ceremony.
“The new systems provide reliable sanitation services for for 12 million residents.”
The plant’s construction was funded by a EUR 12 million grant under the Dutch government’s Facility for Infrastructure Development ORIO subsidy program to support governments in developing countries in their activities to develop, construct/expand, operate and maintain public infrastructure.
