Bamboo Airways operates free relief flights to central Vietnam
VOV.VN - In response to flood damage in central Vietnam, Bamboo Airways is providing free transport of relief goods from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to central Da Nang City and Quy Nhon ward, helping to promptly support affected localities.
The program runs from November 5 to 15, transporting essential goods and supplies from the public and organizations to severely impacted areas. Relief items are prioritized on Bamboo Airways flights from Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang/Quy Nhon.
On the night of November 4, Bamboo Airways Cargo staff, together with partners, completed the collection and preparation of relief goods at Tan Son Nhat International Airport for flight QH154, which departed on schedule from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang carrying 1.5 tons of aid from the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross to affected residents in central Vietnam.
Bamboo Airways CEO Truong Phuong Thanh emphasized, “We share the difficulties faced by people in central Vietnam and are making every effort to prioritize free transport of relief goods nationwide, while providing timely support to help communities overcome this challenging period.”
Agencies and organizations wishing to send relief goods must provide an official letter, a detailed list of items, and coordinate through authorized channels, including the Vietnam Fatherland Front, provincial and municipal People’s Committees, the Vietnam Red Cross, or legally recognized charitable funds.
For aviation safety, Bamboo Airways Cargo will not transport goods containing batteries or hazardous materials.
