Baby boy born at the stroke of Vietnam’s National Day
VOV.VN - At exactly 12:02 a.m. on September 2, 2025, a healthy baby boy weighing 3.3 kilograms was born at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Hanoi.

The family named him Tran Quoc Khanh, a sacred remembrance of Vietnam’s National Day.
According to the family, the name Quoc Khanh (National Day) not only commemorates the historic milestone of September 2, 1945 when the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was founded but also embodies their wish for the child to grow up strong, proud, and deeply connected to his homeland.
Doctors at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology confirmed that both mother and child are in stable health.
Baby Quoc Khanh is among the very first newborns to arrive at the hospital on this year’s National Day, bringing special joy to his family as well as the medical team.
Vietnamese people often give their children names associated with significant dates and events as a way of preserving memory. This tradition honours history while valuing both family and community. Naming the child on special day September 2 spreads a humanistic message, enriching the festive atmosphere of National Day where history, the present, and the future converge.
