Animal traffickers caught in Ha Tinh
VOV.VN -Customs forces at Cau Treo international border gate and police forces in Ha Tinh province have successfully seized several pangolins and turtles along with more than 410 kg of rare wood hidden in a car.

The driver was identified as Vo Hong Cung, 37, while the car's owner was identified as Nguyen Duc Hop, a 26-year-old from Tho Bang village, Duc Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province.
Upon conducting a search of the vehicle the police discovered a pangolin which weighed 4kg as well as a total of 17 turtles which had a combined weight of 10kg. In addition to the animals, 38 wood logs weighing 410 kg were also discovered.
When faced with questioning, the suspects failed to produce documents that clarified the origins of the goods in the vehicle.
A further investigation is now underway to discover the extent of the smuggling.
