Ammunition depot explodes in central Vietnam
VOV.VN - A Defense Ministry managed ammunition depot in the Central Highland province of Gia Lai suddenly exploded on February 2, local media outlets reported.
A big blast was heard around 6am at the arms depot and a column of smoke was then seen rising from the fire.
Local authorities were present at the scene to move about 10 households in the vicinity away. Fortunately, the explosion did not cause any injuries to local people as the ammunition depot is located in an area far from residential areas.
The Ministry of National Defense promptly directed relevant agencies to deal with the consequences and investigate the cause of the blast.
