Airbus’ whale-shaped aircraft arrives in Da Nang for first time
VOV.VN - Airbus Beluga, the whale-shaped flying marvel, made its maiden appearance at Da Nang International Airport on May 9, with the arrival of the aircraft leaving both airport staff and passengers awestruck.
Hailed as a super transporter, Airbus A300-600ST represents one the latest cargo planes and is a commercial service provided by the European company Airbus.
According to a representative of the airport, the Airbus A300-600ST will depart for the central city to Taiwan (China) on the evening of May 9.
Stretching for a length of 56.15 metres, Airbus Beluga is capable of handling cargo for various sectors, including military, maritime, space, and humanitarian, among others.
It stands at an impressive height of 17.25 metres, while the wing span is a stunning 44.24 metres. As one of the latest models, these super transporters offer a semi-automated main deck cargo loading system, thereby making them efficient to handle payloads.
