Airbus A350 maiden flight from Paris to Hanoi

(VOV) - October 1 saw the inaugural flight of Vietnam Airlines Airbus A350 from Paris to Hanoi.


Representatives of Vietnam Airlines, the Embassy of Vietnam in France, Ministry of Transport, Airbus group and Charles De Gaulle airport cut the ribbon to inaugurate the first flight of Vietnam Airlines Airbus 350.

The event marks a turning point for Vietnam Airlines to become the first in Asia-Pacific and the second in the world to use Airbus 350.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Airbus 350 took off from Paris to Hanoi on schedule.

Many European and Vietnamese passengers were happy to be present on the maiden flight of Airbus 350 from Paris to Hanoi.

Franck Goldnadel, Chief Airport Operations officer and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport Managing Director stressed on advantages of Airbus 350 which are fuel saving and eco friendly.

Airbus 350 represents the most advanced technology of French aviation.

Nguyen Quoc Phuong, director of Vietnam Airlines’ branch in France and Europe said the airlines will replace Boeing 777 with Airbus 350 on route from Charles De Gaulle to Ho Chi Minh City as from October 25.

Duong Tri Thanh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, highlighted the cooperation over the last 21 years between the aviation of Vietnam and France.
