VOV.VN - How to prevent and control diseases entering the nation’s northern province were discussed at a February 15 conference hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) which noted that African swine flu is likely to enter Vietnam in the future.
During the conference, MARD representatives also devised a number of solutions to prevent diseases occurring among animals such as bird flu, foot-and-mouth disease, and blue-ear pig pandemic.
With regards to African swine flu in particular, MARD pointed out that the relevant agencies will continue to maintain a tighten control over the trade and transport of animals. Accordingly, markets and slaughterhouses will be frequently sterilized in order to prevent the spread of the disease.
