Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh on November 21 signed a decision approving emergency funding worth VND700 billion (over US$26.5 million) to Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak provinces to address aftermath caused by heavy rains and floods.
Accordingly, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong will each receive VND200 billion, while Gia Lai and Dak Lak will get VND150 billion each, as requested by the Ministry of Finance. The funding sources from the central budget reserve in 2025.
The Deputy PM asked the provincial People’s Committees to proactively allocate local budget, and other legal financial resources, to carry out tasks for disaster relief.
The committees were also requested to manage and use the additional funds transparently and properly, ensuring they are spent for the right purposes and beneficiaries in compliance with relevant regulations.
They must also report the results to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and other relevant agencies for consolidation before submission to the Prime Minister.
